Online Play Beyond Shorelines Peterborough
Shorelines Casino Peterborough is a land-based casino at 3800 Fisher Drive. Online play in Ontario runs under a separate set of rules, and this page lays them out.

Who May Run an Online Casino in Ontario
Since April 4, 2022, a private online casino may serve Ontario only under two conditions. One is registration with the AGCO, which is the regulator. The second condition: a signed operating agreement between the site and iGaming Ontario. Both conditions apply to every private site, however large or familiar its name.
iGaming Ontario keeps the public directory of those sites at igamingontario.ca. Checking a site's name there before any play is a simple habit to keep. The minimum age for players is 19, matching the line the Gaming Control Act, 1992, draws for casinos. They must also be physically inside Ontario.
OLG.ca, the Province's Own Site
OLG.ca belongs to the Ontario government as its online casino. OLG runs it, the same body that conducts and manages casino gaming in the province. Play there is open to people 19 and over who are in Ontario. It is not a private operator's site, and it is not the partner behind this guide's Ad links.
BetGuard and Where It Stops
BetGuard, at betguard.ca, is iGaming Ontario's single opt-out from every regulated gambling website in Ontario, OLG.ca included. The term can be 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, or a span the person chooses.
It does not reach land-based casinos, the one on Fisher Drive among them. Those fall under My PlayBreak, OLG's self-exclusion programme, with breaks of 3 or 6 months or from 1 to 5 years. To enrol, a person calls the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, asks casino staff or sees a PlaySmart Centre coordinator.
Where the Guide's Money Comes From
Commission from a private online casino helps pay for the guide. That arrangement may change, and a different casino could take over. Links to it appear three times, always on the home page and always tagged Ad. You meet them in the header as a button, as a panel right under the card check, and once more toward the foot of the page. Inner pages, the one you are reading among them, hold no paid links.
The partner is not OLG.ca. It has nothing to do with the casino on Fisher Drive, its operator or Kawartha Downs. A search by name at igamingontario.ca, the iGaming Ontario directory, works for any site, the partner included.
Questions we get asked
Can a Great Canadian Rewards card be used on the partner site?
The partner has nothing to do with Great Canadian Entertainment, the operator behind the card. Great Canadian Rewards covers the operator's 12 Ontario destinations, among them the casino on Fisher Drive.
Where can the list of legal online casinos in Ontario be found?
iGaming Ontario keeps the public directory at igamingontario.ca. Its entries are private sites that are registered with the AGCO and bound to iGaming Ontario by an operating agreement.
Is OLG.ca a private online casino?
OLG operates OLG.ca, the Ontario government's online casino. Access is for people aged 19 and over who are in Ontario.
What role do the links marked Ad play on the home page?
They fund the guide. Whichever of the three Ad-marked links is used, it reaches one partner, a private online casino; commission comes from it, and over time it could be replaced. Inner pages have none.
